Yayennings + J3PO Quartet

Yayennings and J3PO (Julian Pollack) are joining together to bring you some authentic bebop at its finest.  Be ready for everything from lush ballads, to up tempo standards from the American songbook.  Yayennings is a founding member of 4X Grammy winning jazz supergroup Snarky Puppy and is very excited to collaborate with J3PO, who has been on the road with Marcus Miller this summer.  These two musicians will bring new energy to the set with inspiration coming from a deep understanding of harmony, funk, swing, feel, and groove.  They will be joined by Jose Pérez (drums) and Ross Schodek (bass) who regularly tour and record with latin jazz great Poncho Sanchez.  Along with their involvement in other ensembles, Yayennings and J3PO have established themselves as nationally recognized solo artists.  Each have put out records under their own name and continue to live, perform, and record in the Los Angeles area.

All shows at Sam First are 21+ (no one under the age of 21 will be permitted)

Show Times: 7:30pm & 9:00pm, and a separate ticket is required for each show.
