"Dnipro Blue" is dedicated to the people of Ukraine, whose lives have been forever changed by the war with Russia. This music tells the stories of musicians who joined the army and lost their lives, the struggles of civilians trying to survive in wartime, and personal experiences from my own life since the invasion began. It is a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit and the strength found in unity during the hardest times. These pieces are meant to inform, to inspire, and to honor those who endure and persevere through unimaginable challenges. Yakiv Tsvietinskyi is one of the leading voices of the modern Ukrainian jazz scene.
