Joe La Barbera Quintet "World Travelers"

Joe La Barbera’s energetic touch and masterful soloing has established him as not only a giant in, but a living master of jazz. Perhaps best known for his recordings and live performances with the trio of pianist Bill Evans in the final years of Evans' career, Joe La Barbera has been the choice drummer for jazz greats Woody Herman, Tony Bennett, Chuck Mangione and Joe Farrell among several others. Today, he remains one of the most in-demand drummers on the west coast, and is a regular on the Sam First stage.

This past spring, Joe La Barbera and his quintet of 30 years made a live record at Sam First for our in-house record label, Sam First Records. We invite you to join us for this very special concert with the full quintet in support of La Barbera's new recording, "World Travelers".

All shows at Sam First are 21+ (no one under the age of 21 will be permitted)

Show Times: 7:30pm & 9:00pm, and a separate ticket is required for each show.
