Henry Solomon is a 22 year old saxophonist and composer living in Los Angeles, California. Originally from the San Francisco bay area, Henry started playing piano at the age of 6 saxophone at the age of 12. Henry has performed with a wide variety of musicians including Harry Connick Jr., Arturo Sandoval, David Binney, Roy McCurdy, Steve Lehman, Louis Cole, Genevieve Artadi, Anthony Wilson, Juanes, Justin Jay, Thumpasaurus, Vulfpeck, and more. He has been on 4 international tours, performing across Japan, China, the UK, France, Belgium, and also at the 2013 and 2014 Grammy Awards, The Monterey Jazz Festival, The Montreal Jazz Festival, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, and a number of jazz clubs all over New York and Los Angeles. Henry plays saxophone, clarinet, flute, and composes music for six bands in Los Angeles, playing jazz, folk, funk, rock, and classical music. Henry recently graduated from the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, where he studied saxophone and composition with Bob Mintzer, Vince Mendoza, Aaron Serfaty, Russell Ferrante, and Peter Erskine.
