Margolis's guitar playing is steeped in both world rhythms and jazz.  He possesses a musical language that reflects his Americana roots as they connect with the 20+ years he has spent in consistent musical collaboration with the Romaní population of Andalucía. 

Syncopated guitar stabs, fast-paced vocalizations, and genre-crossing compositions characterize his expressions.  Always in touch with the emotional and human side of art, Margolis prefers that his performances transmit as high-energy, improvisational sketches rather than flawless interpretations.  Audiences will find him comfortable with artistic risk and he is sure to be accompanied by some of the finest musicians around.

Ethan's discography includes Soleángeles (2014), Sonikete Blues (2016), Speakeasy Sessions (2016), En Madrid (2022), Arsa 100 La Fórmula (2023), Songs Of Mind (2023), and an acoustic album in trio format with Larry Grenadier and Eric Harland slated for release in July, 2024.
